Hi, I’m Kelsey — founder of 528 Candle Co.

I started this company because I couldn’t find the candle I was looking for. I wanted something mystical and magical — something that could support my spiritual practices — but also pretty and practical. A candle that looked beautiful and timeless sitting on my kitchen counter, desk, or nightstand.

528 Candle Co was born out of that vision, and the name holds deep meaning for me. 528Hz is known as the frequency of love — and it also happens to be my birthday, May 28th. It felt like the perfect name to build something truly special around.

What started as a simple idea turned into a long journey. Honestly, I thought candle-making was as easy as melting wax, adding fragrance, dropping in a wick, and calling it a day. I was very wrong! ;)

It took a lot of research and trial-and-error to find the perfect natural wax, 100% cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils that not only smell amazing, but are also clean and safe to burn. Even more care went into making sure each candle burns beautifully, evenly, and safely — every time.

But I’m so happy (and proud!) to say: I finally did it.
These candles are everything I dreamed of creating, and I truly hope you love them as much as I do.

FAQ

SAFE BURNING INSTRUCTIONS
To get the safest and best performance from your candle, always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use, carefully removing any white shimmer buildup from the top.
Light in a safe place and never leave a candle unattended.

Gently and safely snuff out the flame — don’t blow it out.


WAX COMPOSITION
All of our candles are made from a luxurious blend of coconut and apricot wax, with a minuscule amount of FDA-approved, food-grade paraffin to add stability.


WE ONLY USE CLEAN FRAGRANCES
All of our fragrance oils are free from:
• Phthalates
• Carcinogens
• Reproductive toxins
• Organ toxins
• Acute toxins
• And all ingredients listed on California’s Proposition 65


WAX HANG-UP
Wax not melting all the way to the edges? Don’t panic! ;)

This is actually a good thing. We want a little wax “hang-up” during the first few burns.

Our proprietary blend uses mostly coconut wax, which tends to leave a slight ring of wax on the sides early on — unlike soy or paraffin waxes.

This helps ensure the candle doesn’t burn too hot in the lower half of the jar.
That wax will eventually melt and catch up — promise!

Our signature 11oz candles have an approximate burn time of 40–60 hours.

Simply email us within 10 days of receiving your item to request a return.
Once your return is approved, you’ll just need to ship the item back to us.

As soon as we receive the returned item in its original condition, we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method.

ACCIDENTS HAPPEN
We do our best to ensure our candles arrive safely. However, if your candle arrives unusable due to shipping damage (e.g. cracked jar, wax melted in transit, etc.), please send us an email within 3 days of receiving your order, and include a photo of the damaged item.

We’ll get a replacement shipped to you as soon as possible!

**Note:** This does not apply to items damaged after delivery.

528 Candle Co is not responsible for items lost in transit. We recommend adding Route Shipping Protection at checkout to ensure you're covered in the event of shipping mishaps.

While our shipping policy is 3-5 business days, we always aim to ship next day if possible! 

When temperatures start consistently holding above 80 we try to ship all packages Monday through Wednesday to avoid your candles sitting on a hot mail truck over the weekend and melting. 

Slight melting in transit will not affect your candle's performance.
